Vibrant is an Outbound 46. We picked her after an exhaustive, five year search of makers, models and configurations. Key features for us were:
- Two heads
- Cabin at either end
- Companionway that our dog Nika could navigate safely
- Ocean cruising construction & robustness
Unfortunately our budget did not allow for purchasing new, so then the hunt began to find one in the condition we wanted at a price we could afford.
We ended up making offers on several boats, until we finally were blessed to be the new caretakers of hull #22, which we have (re)named Vibrant, nee Ballerina.
She has a somewhat unusual layout, with both a cocktail table and a full fold down table in the Salon giving us an optimal arrangement:

Another consideration as the caretakers of this gorgeous craft was protecting the sole from the dogs claws. Thanks to Aaron Norris’s skilled work we now have comfortable, durable carpeting!
