The Dream…

Four things make dreams happen:

• Shared Vision
• Mutual Sacrifice
• Relentless execution
• A glorious web of humans who love and support us Shared vision

This Dream was a four year quest: First, a list of makers whose boat designs and style we liked. Next, a discussion about what we wanted from a features perspective:

• Sturdy construction so we could go offshore if / when we desired.
• Two heads so that we'd always have an operational one on offshore passages if the other one had issues
• A cabin at either end so we could have space apart as needed and accommodate guests or crew for long offshore passages
• A companionway that our dog Nika could easily navigate

From there we spent a BUNCH of time looking at hundreds (literally) of boats on the web, created what felt like endless comparison spreadsheets, went to the Newport boat show four times and the Annapolis boat show once. Next came offers on five boats (a story in and of itself) to finally get to this point , from which the rest will unfold. Grateful to the amazing Dr. Lynn MacKesson for sharing the vision and putting up with my endless questions, and to our many friends who encouraged us, challenged us and kept the wind in our sails as we pushed forward…
